4 seasons, 58 episodes, 157 songs and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is over. I have to say I'm really going to miss this show.

The show started off with Rebecca Bunch bumping into her ex-boyfriend Josh Chan and moving across the country to where he just so happens to live.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend gave us wlw representation in a totally real and loving way, they never made a big deal about it, it was just natural. They also gave us gay and bi rep, and they gave it it's own musical number (Darryl's iconic saxophone-based bop "I'm Gettin' Bi"). We got mental illness representation, hello - where else are we going to see BPD be even mentioned on TV?

It gave us real and accurate character growth and development; we saw Greg fight his alcoholism and take the steps he needed to get better, Nathaniel deal with his inferiority complex and issues with his father, Valencia, who started season 1 as someone who saw women as competition end up in a kickass girl squad friendship. #gurlgroup4evah

And of course Rebecca becoming someone who is actually happy, she wasn't cured but she was taking steps to help herself and she was finally happy.

This show talked about things no one else would talk about (Paula's abortion episode showed just how well they handle sensitive topics in such an honest and real way), and it still was hilarious and lots of fun to watch (even if you do end up screaming at Rebecca at some points to just PICK GREG/NATHANIEL/JOSH ALREADY).

Thank you Rachel Bloom and Aline Brosh McKenna. You created a show that helped people, that made people not feel alone, that was a change for them to see themselves on screen, some for the first time.

If you see it on your Netflix feed, give it a watch.
